The Apples Medical Centre in April there were 88 Did Not Attend appointments, including 22 Covid clinics. Each missed slot is time that could have been used for another patient and adds pressure to the practice. The Apples Medical Centre are holding a COVID vaccination clinic Friday 17th April at Digby Hall. This is by appointment only if you are aged 75 or over and have not yet been contacted by the surgery. Ring reception after 2.00pm. Please attend at your allocated time, do not arrive early. If you are unable to make your appointment, please let reception know so it can be offered to another patient. This applies to all practice appointments.

The COVID-19 Spring 2026 vaccination campaign will take place in April. If you are eligible, we will contact you to arrange an appointment. Clinics will be held at The Digby Hall. If we have your mobile number, you will receive a booking link by text to choose a suitable time. If you do not have a mobile, we will telephone you to book you in. Please remember to keep your contact details up to date with the practice, including any changes to your phone number, email, or address. Please remember to book routine reviews early, order repeat prescriptions in good time and check your NHS App access for test results. We would also love to hear your views at our Patient Participation Group meeting on 2nd February 2026 at 5.15pm at the surgery. All ages are welcome and new members are encouraged to attend. Please inform reception if you plan to attend.
December 2025
The surgery including our dispensary, will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, reopening on Monday 29th December at 8am. We will also be closed on New Year’s Day and will reopen at 8am on Friday 2nd January 2026. If you need medical help while we are closed, please call NHS 111, or 999 in a life-threatening emergency. As we are only closed for the three bank holidays, please avoid requesting two months’ worth of medication.

Change to appointments we now offer same day, 2-week, and routine appointments (bookable up to 8 weeks ahead, subject to limited availability). Covid and flu vaccination slots remain – if invited, please book online or via reception (appointments only, no walk-ins). If invited for cervical screening, please call to book. If you cannot attend any appointments, please phone reception so we can offer your slot to another patient.

Dear Patient welcome to December Soundbite – The surgery new clinical floor will be opened any day, just waiting on the final IT equipment – you will notice that the surgery has two entrances; main entrance and entrance B (new clinical rooms and waiting room) when you book your consultation you will be notified which entrance to use, if entrance B (at the front of the building leading to the new clinical rooms) park at the front of the building, if you are unable to park there drive to the main car park & enter the main entrance, follow the signs to the new clinical floor – when booking a consultation please inform the receptionist if you have mobility problems - Happy Christmas and Healthy New Year from The Apples Medical Centre.
